Government Mandated Rape?

In my view this is basically state required rape by a doctor. A woman should NEVER be forced to have anything she does not want in her vagina. To require a procedure like this is basically humiliating a woman and intimidating her into not having a medical procedure that is legally available to her.

In one definition article I read it said this:

"Historically, rape was defined as unlawful sexual intercourse with a woman against her will... The essential elements of the crime were sexual penetration, force, and lack of consent. Lack of consent is a necessary element in every rape... Lack of consent may result from either forcible compulsion by the perpetrator or an incapacity to consent on the part of the victim." article link

No matter if you are pro life or pro choice this is an invasion of a woman's body. The government should not be allowed to mandate medical procedures that have no actual purpose other than to humiliate, shame and intimidate a human being into making a choice that the governing people don't agree with.

The people that put this bill through are exploiting a woman's body to further their own stance on an issue that they can't get the people to vote with them on. They don't want women getting abortions but the people of Virginia have voted to keep the procedure legal so these legislative officials have passed a bill with in their own arena (where the public can't vote) that will make woman have to be bodily invaded to get an abortion.

This is corruption and it is disgusting.

What you believe doesn't matter as long as you believe in the people's vote and basic human rights. Personally I am pro life because I could never get an abortion, but politically I am pro choice because it is not my place to say what a woman can do with her body. That doesn't really matter though. These people in office have gone above the heads of their voters and instituted legislation that will manipulate women out of getting a legal procedure to avoid being violated.

Abortions won't stop just because of legislation. Even with this women will either keep getting them and be humiliated or they will do harm to them selves by giving themselves abortions at home.

Do you want your government to be able to invade your body and dictate that you are required to have an unnecessary and invasive procedure? This is not right.
